Flying can be stressful, but on a recent visit to one Europe's busiest airports I figured out how to relax and switch gears between connecting flights.
The fact is, I'd switched all eight gears aboard my rented mountain bike within minutes of leaving the terminal at Zurich Airport. A few minutes of negotiating the initial network of traffic lights and hard pavement, and I was suddenly enveloped in a tunnel of trees lining the smooth gravel trail I was travelling. For two precious hours, planes, trains and automobiles melted into the background for this travel-weary flyer.
